Spelling of Love

Before I finally decided to put my thoughts into words this week, I was divided between writing this article and three others that were bubbling inside of me. Not sure why but this one won the day and so I hope there’s someone out there who will really benefit and be inspired by the words they are about to read.

Cracked Pot

Let’s face it, no matter who you are, all what you do, every so often you will have some days in your life when thoughts of self-doubt and insecurity attack you like a swarm of bees. This could be due to certain things happening in your life at that particular moment such as multiple failures in projects you are handling, a bad relationship, stagnated business,etc. Well, we are not super-beings (like superman or superwoman).

Taking for granted what you should be grateful for

It’s been a while since I have deliberately taken time to visit Facebook and either update my status message, or just read through other people’s post. So on Friday morning we were in traffic and since I was feeling somehow sleepy, I decided to go through Facebook. I came across many posts but two caught my attention.

It’s not every week I know what I will be sharing with you my readers. Sometimes my thoughts are so jumbled up that I don’t know where to start and to say the truth, sometimes I don’t get a clear direction until a few hours before I submit my article to Guardian. Today’s article is one such article. I wasn’t sure what I’d write about until early on Saturday morning when I was jogging, then just before hitting my 6Km mark it was so clear what I’d write about.

You didn't do it alone

Every so often I will share something I found from the net that touched my heart for one reason or another. Today’s share comes from the footballing arena, specifically from a lot of people’s football sweetheart. His name is Cristiano Ronaldo, the ladies eye candy… J Anyway, moving on swiftly, this is the honorable and touching story of Cristiano.

Quitting = Losing

I saw a meme on Google recently that had a very powerful impact on me. This meme had a picture of a lion and maybe a less than a month old cab.  The tiny little cab was looking up to the big ominous looking, huge-maned king of the jungle, while the king was looking softly downwards towards the little clue-less and innocent cat.

Controlling your self control

May I start this article today by wishing all my Muslim brothers, sisters and friends from all over the world Eid Mubarak. May the genuine prayers and supplications you have offered to Allah during your fast be answered and made manifest in your lives and those of your families.

The good you do

In my article last week I touched on the bitterness, anger, jealousy, envy, etc that seems to be ruling the world today. It seems like love has gone out of the world and instead of it there is hatred. But fortunately, there are a few people who still have their hearts filled with love and no matter what happens they don’t allow the contamination in the world to extend to them. Unfortunately, the devil is alive and well in the world and so he still pulls out the temptation card whenever he wants to corrupt good people.

Envy. Jealousy. Bitterness. Anger. Hatred. These seem to be the constant “rulers” of the world we live in today. People being envious and jealous of your achievements, others being bitter and angry because according to them you got “easily” what they have been working so hard to get. As a result, the hatred that fills the hearts of many is so much and palpable that I think scientists and inventors should consider using it as a way of producing energy/ electricity.

The Thief in your life

The last few months have been a bit hectic for me. I took on an assignment that has literally topsy-turvied my life in the sense that I have been finding myself extremely busy lately. Sometimes too busy to even get time to have my nails done! I’m not complaining, just surprised that it is possible for someone to be that busy. I am trying to look for a workable work-around that allows me to balance all my responsibilities so that all my stakeholders (including myself) get a piece of me without me collapsing.
