When Life Sucks

Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.”

But let’s face the fact; sometimes life sucks.

When you wake up in the morning and realize only one of your hormones left the bed while all the rest are still sleeping; life sucks
Worse still,  you wake up feeling all sore and tired but you still have to go to a job you hate; life sucks.
Then you have to sit in traffic in a public vehicle, full of people some who seriously need a shower and breath mints; life sucks.
When you have a boss who can’t seem to understand or appreciate all the hard work you put in and always seems to find fault in the slightest thing you do, even in the way you walk or sneeze; life sucks.
When you have a husband or a wife who takes you for granted, who seems to think you are part of the furniture at home or the paint on the walls; life sucks.
When you go to the bank to get a few shillings from your already depleted account, yet the cashier at the counter seems to not understand why you signed 3 times on your cheque, and you have to spend another 15 minutes explaining something she should know; life sucks.
When you are trying to do something but it seems every step you take is met with 2000 tons of resistance; life sucks….

Yes there are days you'll wake up and feel like going straight back to bed but you can’t. Why? Because in as much as life (sometimes) sucks, you can’t just sit there and sulk about it. You have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep moving.

Life is a journey friends. The “sucky” situations we go through are just potholes or speed bumps along the way, but they should never stop you from going on with your journey. You will never achieve your life’s purpose if you let these situations put you down.

Success is for those who purpose to keep moving no matter what happens in their lives. You might fall or falter along the way, but you shouldn’t give up.
Yes you might be very tired right now because “life sucks”. That’s fine. Find a corner somewhere, cry and sleep it off but when morning comes, get up and keep moving.

You’ve come this far. Why give up now?
